How the idea of an international project is born…
As the comics competition has been a successful project in Czechia, we started to think about how to share it with a wider audience. Thanks to our cooperation with colleagues from ADRA European network we were able to quickly find great partners who are well experienced in global education. Thanks to this effort ADRA Slovenia and ADRA Portugal joined the team. We also welcomed to our team Polish Foundation Twiga, an organization with many years of experience working with comics. And that is how our Talking Bubbles project was born.
What awaits us?
We celebrated the first big success in March 2021 when we found out that our project will be supported by the Erasmus+ programme. Ever since March we meet every month and plan our activities for the years 2021 and 2022. First of all, each organisation will organise their own comics competition. To attract participants, comics exhibitions about climate change will be displayed in schools and libraries in all four countries. Moreover, twenty national winners will have the privilege to meet with their colleagues from other countries while a creative summer camp in Portugal in 2022.
Apart from organising comics competitions and exhibitions, we will also prepare E-learning for workers with youth, which will guide them on how to use comics while their work.
