Vernissage of International Exhibition of comics created during Summer Camp was held on 21st of December as well as 26th of December 2022 in Ljubljana. We inaugurated the exhibition in the city centre in Dvorana Edvard on 21st of December where it stayed on display for a month.
We prepared an introductory ceremony where Talking Bubbles project was presented. From the creation of the project to national comics competition to international exhibition of comics.
There was an incredible interest in the vernissage, however cold weather and diseases prevented people from attending. Due to expressed interest, we organized another vernissage on 26th of December at the headquarters in Ljubljana. 46 people visited both vernissages.
In addition to the vernissage participant from the Summer Camp Rebeka Virtič prepared an exhibition and presentation at the City Council on December 13th, 2023.
Visitors were really impressed with the creative minds of youth and their skills to portray messages through comics. What they were even more impressed about were the messages of comics and how the youth see our everchanging world and not always for the better. Especially with the issues of climate change, gender issues and inequalities.
