Vernissage of  Summer Camp  collection, Prague

„Grand finale“ of our project is here! The collection of Summer camp comics in our headlights!

Our Vernissage took a place in Kampus Hybernska on the 30th of November 2022, a special student meeting point in the very centre of Prague. Kampus Hybernská was built by The Prague City Hall and the Faculty of Arts of Charles University as a place which links creativity, art and the academic world as a vision of the university for the 21 century. Do you imagine a better place for our exposition and vernissage?

As all, we know art and creativity support an open mind and critical thinking. Talking Bubbles helps young people to express their opinion about global topics like climate change, migration, or gender equality by drawing comics. The meeting of national winners in July in Portugal enriched the view of global topics of participants through cross-border experience. The collections of Summer camp comics comes to be an attractive tool for global topics further presentation.

We decided to prepare much more than vernissage to highlight properly the last milestone of our long-term project. Interesting people involved in Erasmus + were invited to the stage to talk about their experience with these projects and their impact in our society.

The programme was moderated by our colleague from ADRA PR department amazing Ema Klementová. To start well she welcomed to the stage ADRA CR Country manager Radomír Špinka with his presentation of ADRA activities. We had the honour to welcome as crucial guests  Lucie Rott Beneschová and Iva Ničová from The House of International Cooperation (Dům zahraniční spolupráce). Their long term experience with Erasmus + convinced all of us about benefits of these projects for all society.

Panel discussion of young people about their experience with volunteering in Czech Republic brings fresh air to the hall as we were introduced into the world of young volunteers. Our special guests Petra Cmárová from Charita CR, Veronika Miškejová from  ADRA CR, Jakub Kos and Magdalena Suchá from Kampus Hybernská convinced us about the quality of incoming generation. Good to know that young people are actively involved in important topics of our society.

As the highlight of our meeting moderator Ema invited into the stage Veronika Gazdová, finalist of national competition and participant of Summer Camp. Her testimony about the impact of Talking Bubbles competition in her point of view of global topics was simply great.

After this taught programme our public was invited to enjoy the collection of comics and the sustainable banquet.

Is easy to call this afternoon as time well spent in good company.
